SUPPORT US
How donations are used
The money donated by sponsors is pooled so as to maximise effectiveness. It is used to support the living costs of the individual being sponsored (e.g. shelter, clothes, food or medicines) as well as community development programs (e.g. vegetable gardens, wells, training).
How sponsorship works
The following processes outline how we assess and ensure that we are helping the most vulnerable members in society:
-
We identify those most in need through referrals from government and non-governmental agencies, referrals from local community leaders as well as churches and friends of Emmanuel working on lots of different projects on the ground in Africa.
-
We establish a genuine case and assess the gravity of an individuals need, community or families in need.
-
Decisions are made by board members.
Help engage their knowledge and abilities by providing technical expertise in addition to financial support to the projects we’re funding.
We aim at organizing an international group of Bakenga’s Empathy Volunteer/employees at least once per annum, at their own expense, to volunteer a week of their time and energy to assist. The NGO will host volunteers for a week of hard work and fun. Future trips will include the following countries as destinations:
-
Uganda
-
Kenya
-
The Democratic Republic of the Congo.
-
Rwanda
-
Burundi.
-
Tanzania
-
South Sudan
